Combining the fluid head built for speed with the world's fastest tripod, this system delivers ultra-rapid deployment with maximum versatility.

Supporting payloads up to 16 kg (35.3 lb) aktiv16T offers 15 steps of counterbalance, allowing you to finely match your camera rig and quickly dial in balance time after time. 7 steps of Sachtler drag ensure smooth movement at all speeds and in any environment, while the Touch & Go platform allows one-handed mounting of the camera into a preset position, so you're always ready to capture the next shot. The T in aktiv16T denotes that Touch & Go platform. All aktiv™ fluid heads feature revolutionary SpeedLevel™ technology. Release, level, and lock your head tightly into the perfect position without missing a second of action. Clear confirmation that the camera is level comes from the illuminated PrismBubble visible from any height or angle, day or night.

The 2-stage carbon fibre flowtech® tripod has unique quick release brakes at the top which can be deployed and adjusted in an instant, and a versatile hinge lock mechanism that allows it to be deployed without a spreader for ultra-low and high shots. Its ergonomic design makes the tripod comfortable to carry, on your shoulder or with the carry handle, and the legs are held together by a magnetic lock for transportation. A padded carrying bag completes the package.

Go lower than ever. aktiv and flowtech combine to provide a flexible one tripod solution delivering the widest height range. With no bowl clamp required, aktiv16T allows the flowtech100 tripod to go flat to the ground for the perfect low-angle shot.

Technical data

Fluid head

Sachtler aktiv16T with Touch & Go, SpeedLevel and SpeedSwap

Tripod

flowtech100, 2-stage carbon fibre

Payload

Up to 16 kg (35.3 lb)

Counterbalance steps

15

Drag settings

7

Levelling

SpeedLevel, with illuminated PrismBubble visible from any height or angle

Mid level spreader system

aktiv16T fluid head, flowtech100 tripod, adjustable mid-level spreader, rubber feet, padded carrying bag

Ground spreader system

aktiv16T fluid head, flowtech100 tripod, adjustable ground spreader, padded carrying bag

Head compatibility

All Sachtler 100 mm tripods, except HotPod

Part numbers

S2086T-FTMS (mid level), S2086T-FTGS (ground)

Options

Both configurations carry the same aktiv16T fluid head on the same flowtech100 tripod, so the Spreader selector is the only choice to make.
