The short version: carries two batteries on your hips instead of on the camera, and feeds power down an XLR cable.
What you'd use it for
Belts are the old school trick for long takes and heavy rigs: get the battery weight off the camera and onto the operator's waist. Two Anton/Bauer batteries sit on the belt and send power to the camera and accessories over XLR.
Choose the belt that matches the batteries already in your kit, because the two versions take different battery systems and give different outputs.
Good to know
-
Which one do I need? SO-14/28R (8075-0182) takes any two Anton/Bauer Logic Series batteries and gives regulated 14.4V and 28V outputs at the same time, on 4 pin and 3 pin XLR. Handy when you are running both 14V and 28V gear.
- Gold Mount Plus (8075-0360) takes up to two 26V Gold Mount Plus batteries and gives two unregulated 26V outputs on XLR3, with limited hot swap capability. Pick this one if your kit runs Dionic 26V batteries.
Works with
Dionic 26V batteries (Gold Mount Plus belt) or Logic Series batteries such as HyTRON (SO-14/28R).
