How runtime is worked out: usable watt-hours ÷ load in watts. The 85% default allows for converter losses, the reserve the pack holds below cut-off, and cells that are no longer new — a battery almost never delivers its full nameplate figure into a real rig. Cold, high draw and cell age all reduce it further. Planning figures, not guarantees.

Carry-on reflects the 100 Wh IATA threshold for lithium batteries carried without airline approval. Between 100 Wh and 160 Wh you generally need airline approval and are limited to two spares; above 160 Wh they cannot go as passenger baggage. The NiMH packs — HyTRON 140 and CINE VCLX NM2 — are a different chemistry and aren't caught by those limits, which is why they still turn up on travel jobs. Rules vary by carrier and change; confirm with the airline before you fly.

Max cont. is Anton/Bauer's published continuous rating. Where it reads as amps with an approximate wattage, Anton/Bauer publish only the amp figure and the wattage is amps × nominal volts.
