The short version: runs a Canon mirrorless or DSLR body off a full size V-Mount or Gold Mount battery, with two P-Taps spare.
What you'd use it for
Swapping tiny camera batteries all day on a locked off, live or long interview setup gets old fast. This plate runs the camera off a proper brick through a Canon 5DmkIV style DC connector, with a built in regulator that gives the camera the voltage it expects.
Two P-Taps on the plate run a monitor, recorder or transmitter from the same battery, so the whole setup lives on one battery.
The only choice is the battery mount. V-Mount is the popular choice, and Gold Mount is there if your batteries already run on Gold Mount. Everything else is the same.
