Useful at low levels of light. Good for dull skies and moonlight.

What you'd use it for

A colour effect gel rather than a correction filter — you'd reach for it for the look it gives, not to match one source to another. Budget roughly 1⅓ stops of light loss.

Technical data

Transmission Y (daylight) 36.2%
Transmission Y (tungsten) 29%
Light loss approx. 1⅓ stops

Figures published by LEE Filters. Light loss is calculated from LEE's transmission figure.
