The short version: a big, soft, full colour panel with beautiful colour accuracy. The classic studio key.
What you'd use it for
Gemini is the full colour (RGBWW) side of Litepanels. Beyond dialling any white from warm to cool, you can pick any colour, match a gel, or run lighting effects, which makes it as handy for a studio key as it is for a coloured background wash or a music clip.
The Gemini 2x1 Soft is the big soft key. It is a long panel that throws a broad, even light, the kind of source that makes interviews, talking heads and studio presenters look great with almost no fuss. Add a Snapbag for even softer light, or hang it as a space light for soft overhead ambience across a whole set.
In real world terms
-
How bright? 1,079 lux at 3 m in daylight, 906 lux in tungsten, as one big soft source.
-
How accurate? CRI 99 in both daylight and tungsten. Skin tones look spot on.
-
How wide? A 93° beam, so it covers a lot of ground without moving.
-
How heavy? 10.1 kg on a junior pin, so use a proper junior stand.
-
Power? Up to 325 W, with the power supply built in.
-
Control? Wired DMX on RJ45 and 5 pin XLR, plus wireless DMX and Bluetooth with the optional modules.
-
Where can it go? IP20, so indoors or under cover.
Good to know
- Power supply is built in, so there is no separate box hanging off the stand.
- There is also a pole operated version for studio grids.
Works with
