What you'd use it for

A ring head screw for 1/4 in and 3/8 in threaded points. It goes in and comes out by hand, so a strap point, a safety or a hanging point can be added and taken off again without a driver, and the ring gives you something to hook a carabiner or a lanyard through.

Sold in both threads so the same fitting works across camera and grip hardware.
