The short version: swaps the B-Mount on an ALEXA 35 or ALEXA 265 for a Gold Mount Plus, so it runs on Dionic 26V batteries.

What you'd use it for

If your crew runs Anton/Bauer 26V batteries, this plate lets the ALEXA 35 and ALEXA 265 run on them natively. It replaces the B-Mount plate and connects straight to the back of the camera, so there are no extra cables hanging off the body.

Pick the battery size to suit the shot: a big 240Wh for long studio or tripod days, or the lighter 98Wh when the camera is on someone's shoulder.

In real world terms

  • How long on a 240Wh? Around 2.8 hours on the ALEXA 35 (about 90 W) and around 3.2 hours on the ALEXA 265, with a Dionic 26V 240Wh.
  • How long on a 98Wh? Around 1.1 hours on the ALEXA 35 and around 1.3 hours on the ALEXA 265, with a Dionic 26V 98Wh.
  • Size and weight? 11.9 x 9.4 x 2.3 cm, 0.18 kg.

Good to know

  • Removing the factory B-Mount bracket on the ALEXA 35 or ALEXA 265 will not invalidate the camera's warranty.
