What you'd use it for

Cuts the cord. This weather resistant bracket lets an Astra IP panel run from Sony style BP-U batteries, the same ones many Sony camera users already carry, so you can light a car park, a sideline or a remote location with no power point in sight.

The bracket attaches to the yoke and the back of the fixture. Put the battery on, fit the lid and power the light through the moulded 3-pin XLR cable, so the setup stays tidy, weather resistant and easy to pick up and move.

How long will it run?

Divide your battery's Wh by the panel's maximum draw: 63 W for the Half, 125 W for the 1x1 and 250 W for the 2x1. For example, a 90Wh battery runs a Half for roughly an hour and a half at full brightness, and longer as you dim. Talk to us and we will size batteries for your shoot day.
