Horizon Monitor Mount 360° Production Kit gives you freedom to place your monitor in a number of positions around the camera, but remains compact, quick to adjust (it can easily be adjusted and locked with one hand), and always keeps the monitor level. The included 360° Quick Release mount allows for even more versatile monitor placement, as well as the ability to quickly add/remove the monitor or switch it to a different location on the camera (or move it between cameras).
The kit consists of the following elements:
The Horizon Arm:
The horizon arm is designed to be attached to the front of a camera top handle. The arm rotates between 16 different quick-locking positions, and at the same time always keeps the monitor orientation consistent. This means that if you have your monitor level and move the horizon arm to a new position, your monitor will remain level. The arm can also be attached in a number of other locations or orientations. A thumb lever locks/unlocks the arm's position. The horizon arm attaches to a top handle's female ⅜ ARRI pin interface on one end, and contains both a female ⅜ ARRI pin interface and a custom Light Widow interface to receive a monitor mount on the other end.
The 3-Axis Monitor Mount:
The 3-Axis monitor mount can attach to either side of the horizon arm's interface. The 3-axis mount is a first-of-its kind monitor mount that allows for pan, tilt, and roll without having to loosen or tighten any knobs. This means that, unlike other pan/twist or pan/tilt mounts on the market, the monitor can face to the side of the camera and can still tilt up or down without having to be rotated to an awkward angle. Another feature that separates the 3-Axis mount is that the rotation of the mount does not become loose over time – once the resistance is set, every axis will maintain that resistance until adjusted.
The 360° Quick Release Mount (with 2x receivers):
Unlock 360° degrees of rotation and the ability to quickly add/remove the horizon arm or swap between different locations or cameras. The Horizon 360 Production Kit comes with a single quick release as well as two (2) total receiver pins.
The L-Bracket (2x):
The included L-Bracket is a simple 90 degree male to female adapter that can be used for attaching the Horizon arm to the top of a top handle (especially useful for when the front of the top handle is already in use by something like a rangefinder), or can be used for attaching the 3-Axis monitor mount to the Horizon arm in different configurations that work best for various shooting styles. It can also be used to adapt the 3-Axis monitor mount directly to a top handle, etc.
