The Video 18 fluid head has been helping people get amazing results all over the world for decades. It can support a payload of up to 22 kg and is a perfect fit for a wide range of video projects. This operational versatility is added to by 16-steps of counterbalance and seven steps of pan and tilt drag, which allows you to work intuitively safe in the knowledge that movement will always be smooth and seamless.
The Touch & Go quick release camera plate and sliding balance platform mean that once you’ve clicked your camera into place, the entire platform adjusts to balance your setup. The Sachtler Speedbalance technology provides lightning fast weight compensation, making the Video 18 S2 a time-saver as well as a reliable part of your gear.

Options
Every configuration carries the same Video 18 S2 fluid head. The Configuration selector chooses the legs, and the values follow Sachtler's package naming: CF is carbon fibre, HD is heavy-duty and SL is SpeedLock.
ENG 2 D (1861S2) and ENG 2 D with Dolly (1868S2) use the Sachtler ENG 2 D aluminium tripod, an alternative to EB carbon fibre tripods that gives you stability for payloads of up to 35 kg without giving up lightweight design and easy transportability. It is a dual extractible aluminium ENG tripod with a 16 mm tube diameter and a 100 mm bowl base, and its double extension delivers optimal stability with an extended height of 1.5 m. The quick clamping system locks the legs in seconds.
ENG 2 Carbon Fibre (1862S2) and ENG 2 MCF (1863S2) use the best-selling Sachtler dual-extractible ENG 2 CF carbon fibre tripod. Lightweight and twist-resistant, the one-piece carbon fibre design features a 100 mm bowl with a tube diameter of 22 mm, and the quick clamping system locks it in place securely in three quick movements. Dual extension boosts height range and carries a payload of 40 kg, at 2.4 kg and a transport length of 70 cm.
HD MCF (1866S2) uses the Sachtler ENG 2 CF Heavy-Duty Carbon Fibre Tripod, a durable and reliable design that is stable and twist resistant, with fast action clamps that make it simple to setup and start working safely. SL HD MCF (1867S2) uses the Sachtler SpeedLock Heavy-Duty Carbon Fibre Tripod, whose patented three-step clamping system locks the leg in place in seconds and allows smooth, secure adjustments, with the clamping connection forming a third tube to further help you stay balanced.
