What you'd use it for
When you need quick set up and precise balancing while using a smaller camera, the Sachtler FSB 4 Fluid Head ensures you don’t have to compromise on performance. Speedbalance technology finely balances any camera payload from 0kg up to 4kg (8.8lbs), while the snap and go side loading mechanism with a sliding range of 120mm (4.7in) makes mounting and positioning accessorised handheld cameras and DSLRs simple.
Create precision pans with smooth starts and soft stops. Patented Sachtler drag always gives you subtle and smooth movement. Three horizontal and vertical drag settings help you to tune the drag to your payload.
The head is the same in all six packages. What changes is the tripod under it and what steadies the legs, so the table below sets out exactly what ships in each part number.

Options
Choose Tripod first, then Spreader. Aluminium 75/2 is the lightweight 2-stage aluminium 75mm tripod, portable without sacrificing strength. Carbon Fibre 75/2 is the ultra-lightweight 2-stage carbon fibre version that keeps the weight to a minimum without sacrificing strength. Both take three 3/8” accessory mounting points on the bowl for something like a Magic Arm, ship with a carry handle so the system moves one-handed, and ship in a padded bag.
flowtech75 is the Sachtler flowtech 75 carbon fibre tripod. Each leg extends or retracts independently of the other two, with an individual clamping mechanism so all three can be loosened and locked from a single location near the 75 mm bowl, which means deploying and levelling takes about as long as releasing a catch. The hinge lock gives a height range of 26 to 158 cm, torsional stability is high so pans stay level with no twisting, and a magnetic lock holds the legs together once they are folded. Sachtler quotes it at 3.5 kg carrying up to 20 kg.
Spreader sets what steadies the legs. Mid level gives stability on rough ground. Ground gives maximum stability and is the usual choice on a flat floor.
Engineered to the highest standards with tough materials and precision components, FSB is built for endurance. With no variation in performance in the widest range of temperatures and environments, FSB is the first choice for busy operators.
