What you'd use it for

The middle ground: noticeably softer light for interviews and presenters without giving away too much output.

Diffusers sit on the front of the panel and soften the light. Lighter grades keep more output and a crisper shadow; heavier grades are softer and more even but cost you some brightness. Swapping diffusers is the quickest way to change the look without moving the light.
